Yet another Deutsch test

Amazing we had yet another test today. Are the tests are getting easier or am i getting smarter? I can confidently say the former is the case. Because i seem to struggle writing the essay part of the test. Everyone is done and having coffee while i slave away biting my finger nails and pencil head. we have a class party tomorrow. Should be interesting. Mrs Poland thanked me for the list today.

no excuse

Amazing almost everyone noticed i wasn't in class on tuesday. I turned up to class yesterday and,  everyone asked why i didn't bloody come to class. i so had no excuse. 

MOCK chocolate sticks TEST

Got to school pretty early today. had a look at the homework after work and was like WTF is this? It all looked like gibberish to me. just didn't know where to start. but knowing me, i seem to work better under pressure. so i took a quick nap and when it got close to class time i popped to the shops, got myself some chocolate sticks then heading into the class room to finish my homework under pressure before the king smacked my bum. Lo and behold whilst with Turkish governor, i understood it, but also after a little back and forth chat with him. I told him he was wrong, i double check the rules in my book but he was right. bugger!! i apologised of course. The sentences were all on relative sentences. Lets see if i can create a sentence without looking in my book.

ha haaaa. It only took me one hour to write out that sentence, but i got there in the end. honest no cheating.

The König then ordered us to clear our tables of all our books and dictionaries etc. We all knew what was coming. I think he is doing a brilliant job at preparing us for the exams in July. I swear our school is taking the piss with the exam date and time. it is set for friday the 13th July 2012 at 1300hrs. Come on, that is so no coincidence. Oh well, good thing i am not superstitious else i definitely wouldn't be attending. Anyway the mock test went pretty well. I felt pretty okay with all of it. The proof of pudding will be when the results come back on tuesday. as we have a long weekend. no class on monday. Jakob made sure we wouldn't be bored with several pages of homework to keep us out of trouble.

i stupidly left the homework on Je... ,desto and je... ,umso till too late. meaning around 15:30. got stuck then got to the class struggling. My second Lehrerin tried explaining it to me but ended up confusing me even more as i though OMG is there a new rule to sentence structure. anyway a few second later. i got it. phew. At one point she actually thought i copied her work cos we wrote the same thing. Well, i know she is good, but i'd rather get it wrong and bare the wrath of the König's whip than get it right by copying. Whilst in the process pretending i know it. I am definitely not like the two other guys we had in our class that did the same thing; they've left now. and anyway, on this momentos alleged copy cat exercise. she got it wrong. WAO!! she is human after all. and i thought she came from planet Uranus.

mostly worked on the above yesterday. The king joined a few of the boys and girls for a quick drink and chat at break time.

Am schönsten Frau

well you cannot beat this. i have to start with this. got to school 15mins ish past 1700hrs. thought i was late. I know it isn't officially late, but that is late in my books. Ran into the sweetest girl in the school at the ground floor main door before i ran up the stairs only to run into König Jakob at the top of the stairs. we chatted about his new Yoja mat and how chilled he looked as we both walked to the class which was dark and empty. shocking!!!. A few minutes later, The sweetest Polish frau M, from the neighbouring class, walked in and handed me a bottle of...  the photo is below.

It must have been about a month ago we had a conversation about her bringing a polish drink back for me when she next went home. The conversation only arose cos Mao, my class mate, also from poland was drinking the same drink and said it was fantastic. I totally dismissed it as small talk not knowing she meant it. Anyway i thought that was really really sweet of her to bring me back something during her long holiday weekend trip with her husband. Yes, she is married before you start winking one eye at me. ha.

michael came in shorts and wearing a new slick hair cut. Our Zeit Frau looked as hot as ever in her red top. So much so Metall S. complimented her on it today. the smile on her face was large and very genuine. then a few more compliments from others rolled her way. she took it well and thanked everyone. so sweet. Love her (like a sister of course. think what you want ;-)). Metall S. was looking pretty tasty too. I could have sworn Aida wore nothing but a lacy see through top today. Fortunately or unfortunately for my concentration, she sat directly opposite me. OMG!! Moon Frau must have been out all night biting people as she seemed really tired today. Yes ma'am was half awake today as she made two mistakes. that is very unlike her, as she is ALMOST always right. ha. i tried on Sarah's super colourful hat.

we worked on Partizip 1 and 2 exercises. My last sentence came off the top of my head. but then i got stuck as to what we actually did today. what else did we do i asked myself? OMG we spent all day Firstly listening to each others weekend activities; all in Deutsch of course. then we did Page 136 numbers 1a and b. One of the easiest listening exercises to-date. We also drew pictures in a table to explain our understanding of Partizip 1 and 2. Japanischer Frau won that task hands down. no competition. we then played the sentence game to end the day. By some miracle michael never seems to get it. sometimes i don't know if he's just making it up to get attention or if he is really that thick. I do not believe the latter to be the case as he answered an unbelievable question from the king today. I was shocked, so much so i gave him a well done nod. Our iranian senator and the turkish governor turned up very very late today. They must have thought no one would notice if they snuck in with the returning break-time crowd. ha.

König Jakob returned my last assignment with corrections. see below. Yes that was really our home work. I just thought why not make a real post card which i can send out. and who best to send it to than my friend that doesn't understand a word of Deutsch. she will first crack up laughing when she sees it. Before she sends me a sarky email.

on my way home the train got to Turmstrasse; five stations from my stop. i had just moved seats as the two guys next to me stank so bad i really could not concentrate on the hot girl i sat next to. Anyway as we entered the station, 10 seconds ISH after i planted my ass in a fresh seat. the train seemed to slam on the break. 2 seconds later the driver said everyone had to get off the train as it wasn't moving any further and that there was someone under the train. WHAT A DAY!!! the train sat half way into the station and everyone funnelled out of one door. The smell of burnt out breaks was all too obvious as all the lights in the train were switched off. We were quickly ushered off the station platform. As we exited the station sirens got louder as they began to approach the station. I completed my journey on the bus.

DOH!! silly billy

What a day!! I seemed to drift in and out of consciousness today in class. i know and under the theory of PARTIZIP EINS und ZWEI + adjectives, but i struggled to keep my attention focused. During the last exercise i stupidly read out the answer option i had crossed out, as the correct option, instead of the one that was not crossed out. how silly did i look when i tried to redeem myself to the König and my lehrerin (YES ma'am) that it was a genuine mistake. i gave up in the end.

PHEW, the König let us off early with games. First one was WIDDA; stands for Was Ist Die Deutsch Artikel. We had so much time we also played BEDWADTNID. bugger!! this acronym doesn't quite roll off the tongue like the first. anyway it means Beschreiben Das Wort Auf Die Tafel Nur In Deutsch. YES ma'am was on fire today.

Metall Shabnam tried on Moon frau's glasses today and was looking really kool in them. I made her get out her fone and i took some photos of her. that was it!! she didn't give it back, she kept wearing the glasses till the end of the class. ha.

Stayed back after class to have a quick chat with the king. Private chat so please do not ask the details. 

Deutsch is TOO difficult

holiday day today. so no deutsch klass. Just doing my homework about forming sentences in the continuous tense. A thought just ran through my mind. Those that say deutsch is TOO difficult, either, firstly do not have english as a first language, foundation, or mother tongue. Or secondly are just plain lazy to put in the time and effort required. I say this cos the exercise i am currently working on is being constantly resolved in english in order that i can better understand it. It goes without saying that i still always apply the deutsch sentence rules.

The two languages are so similar in so many ways that i do not believe there is a comprehensive list of the similarities. Google here i come. Good direct question and answer on YAHOO.
WIKIPEDIA didn't do so well, more of a history than difference. Nice photos with translations from the AUSSIES. and very cute too.

Partizip Eins

got to class nice and early as usual. shabnam walked in shortly after me. managed to finish doing my homework before The King came in. despite Metall Shabnam wanting to chat none stop.

i made two very basic mistakes in class today. Yes ma'am sighed in disgust and disappointment. even The king was shocked. so much so he asked me another question just to see if i had lost my deutsch skills. well, too bad. i made another boo boo and i think that was it for the day.

we finally did Partizip I. very very easy actually. so much so The king gave everyone a task to do and to YES ma'am's total astonishment, i surprisingly got it right. cheeky girl. I guess i redeemed myself a tad.

more future tense exercises today using wird. i really need to practice my werden wusste. i dont't feel i have a full grasp of it yet. i am really dragging my feel on this. i need to either create a table or get all the rules collated into one area.

Mock oral test.

After our class today. König Jakob our super lehre offered the class to have a go at the oral test. Most were dying to get back to their real lives. Two sad students, Natalia and myself, jumped on the opportunity without a moments hesitation. We were then dragged us into a special class where he handed us the test papers to read through. A few minutes later Jakob sat to the side of the table while Natalia and myself faced each other. Ladies first he said. we tok it in turns to go through answering the list:

hmm, just remembered kein hobby. i'll have to remind him. maybe it isn't actually on the list as i dont remember answering that.

we than had to describe a photo. Say what we could see. I think I made a few mistakes. but i was sort of okay. 

the last exercise what that Natalia and I had to arrange going to a friends wedding ceremony in Neurmburg. 100km ish away. we were giving a list of items to discuss.

I made a mistake during the games session and had to stand up. luckily only Tanja made it to the top of the chair then to the table. Amazingly she seemed to be enjoying being on top the table. ha.

On a sadder note, super sweet hot Viktoria our zeit frau left the klass early today. After the break she came back into the class totally welled up and red eyed. i couldn't get a word out of her. As she finished packing her bags i gave her sympathetic hold. she left after about three lines with Jakob on her way out. I do hope she is okay.

magnetic massage water bed

Our neighbours, had they heard us would have thought we were all on drugs today. Joanna and I were first to arrive. she caught me having a fag down stairs. we both shared a few laughs until METALL shabnam walked in with a new dark hair colour. hugs and more laughs followed. A few minutes later, nathalia; Full Moon Frau walks in with her big smiling face. shortly after König Jakob walks in, to a rapturous reception. Thinking back as i type now, most of the guys in the class weren't there today. 3 guys to 9 girls. waoo. what the hell happened there. anyway. it was super fun. 

we constructed some fantasy text about future technology in our futuristic AI house. After everyone had read theirs out. shabnam whispered in my ear that ours was had the best idea. I actually agreed with here. cos our idea was to have magnetic massage water bed in every room. A robot that printed money in the house. the house can also float on water. and by some ingenious futuristic capability, when we are going on holiday wings retract from the side of the house and we can fly with our house on holiday. Now if that isn't the best idea then i dont know what is.

Chatted with a local couple during the break. amazing all in deutsch. obviously they were kind enough not to correct me every sentence. ha. but it was good fun.

fast reading

we did some fast reading and translating exercise which was super fun two days ago. we are also doing more and more writing now. interesting. today fri we did another mock exam. i felt more confident with all the sessions but as usual i think i may have made a few mistakes. This thought was reinforced in my mind after i crossed checked some of my answers with the moon queen's.

weird coincidence / lucky day

Got to school early as usual as; well not really as usual, as i owe it all to the bad weather that kept al the customers away from work. hence i was let off early.
Lucky day!!. By some weird coincidence, Sarah (our sweet most times very edible Japanese Frau) and I kept getting paired together. Twice, and honestly it couldn't have been more random. We agreed to meet before class, next tuesday to talk about her new training regime.

Punishment

Our super lehre (Konig Jakob) makes us stand on the chair and then on the table if and when anyone makes a mistake. HARD MAN!!.
Okaaay it only happens when we are playing games at the end of the main class session.
